Moving to Seattle, Chef Brian Clevenger first resided in the Eastlake neighborhood. Since living elsewhere in the city, he's always retained a fondness for it and he's excited to return, with Le Messe.

COOKING CLASSES

General Harvest Restaurants is excited to announce our next series of cooking classes.  All classes will take place at our sister restaurant, Le Messe, located at 1903 Yale Place E, in the Eastlake neighborhood.

Classes are led by chef Brian Clevenger and are limited to 12 students each. All Classes start at 11:00 AM and typically last 1 ½ to 2 hours.

Intro to Fresh Pasta
07.07.18

Students will learn how to make fresh pasta dough from scratch, making three different shapes of pasta, and will learn how to prepare pasta.  Class price includes lunch and a paired glass of wine.

$50 per person

Seafood
08.04.18

In this class, the chef with cover butchering using several different types of fish, as well as portioning, cooking, and proper/safe storage.  Class price includes lunch and a paired glass of wine.

$55 per person

Gnocchi
09.15.18

Students in this class will be taught how to make potato gnocchi from scratch.  We will also cover three different preparations with which to serve it.  Class price ncludes lunch and a paired glass of wine.

Advanced Pasta

This class will show how to make more advanced pasta shapes, including stuffed pastas: ravioli, agnolotti, and cappelletti. Class price includes lunch and a paired glass of wine.

Pairing Food & Wine
11.03.18

This class will discuss the ideas behind pairing food and wine together.  Class includes a tasting of 5 different wines and the food paired with each. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.

$65 per person

Oysters & Bubbles
12.08.18

This class will feature 5 different local oysters and how to clean, shuck (open), and pair with them. Class price includes oysters and paired wines. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
